Art Apprentice Online offers online learning classes in a variety of painting styles. They have just revamped their web site to make it easier to navigate.
Photoshop brushes
If you use Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, there are many online sources for free or low-cost brushes you can use to expand your graphic tools. One of my favourite is graphics-illustrations.com. There are hundreds of brushes available, as well as video tutorials to teach you how to use them.
CreativeTechs Online Watercolour Class
CreativeTechs is a Macintosh support company in Seattle. In addition, they offer online courses in a variety of technical subjects.
Beginning Friday, February 19th, they are venturing into arts instruction with a five-part online Watercolour class: Molly Murrah’s Watercolor Magic. The live class is free; downloadable videos can be purchased later. In December, CreativeTechs held a live preview session; this promises to be a great class.
Instructables
Instructables is a web site where people share their how-to processes for a whole variety of things, from crafts to cooking. You can learn new things, and you can also share your own expertise.
Color Schemer Studio
ColorSchemer Studio is a colour matching application available for both Mac and Windows. With it, you can easily create colour schemes for your artistic projects.
In addition to creating colour schemes based on the colour wheel, you can import any photograph and extract colours from it.

This is the new home of the Crafters’ Internet, which started out as a book in the spring of 2000, became a website, and has now morphed into this blog where I will share information about Internet resources that can benefit artists and crafters.
